I like this song more than I should. Yes, Lady Gaga does the hook. Maybe it's the drum machine and that little bit of scratching, but it all works together like disco fries (see below).

I agree this version is cool. But in my purist opinion this doesn't need a drum machine and scratching to be enjoyed. How about with just raw piano, theatricality, and vocals?

That lady can sing, and she's helping Polaroid promote a new digital version of the instant camera which is not really relevant to this discussion. Comment Attention Deficit.
When I was unable to sleep in my London b&b, there was an hour-long look at Gaga's career. There was a cute writer alongside two other charming Brits, and their jibber jabber all came back to the obvious themes of persona/alter egos, marketing, and mystery augmenting what talent someone already has. If I ever work on this illustration career, I'll be sure to wear a mask to Comic-Con.
